1) Why do I need to log in to submit an entry?
Logging in with your username and password will allow the system to save the data you entered and it is the only way we can track your entries. It also allows you to save entry information allowing you to take a break or sign off and upon your return the data will still be there.
2) I have filled out the entry form, but then remembered I wanted to enter something else. Should I wait?
There is no need to wait since you can finish this entry form and then start another one at a later date.
3) Can I enter something into more than one category?
Yes, you may enter it into as many categories as you wish. Entering one item in multiple categories substantially increases your chances of winning. Please note that an additional entry fee is charged for each category entered.
4) Can I enter the same work in multiple competitions?
Yes, as long as that work fits the criteria of the competition and has not been entered in that competition before. For example, a TV promotion spot may be entered into both the New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards and the International Advertising Awards®.
5) I have filled out the entry forms. I am ready to upload my entries. How do I do this?
Once you've completed the online entry form and have indicated that you will upload your entries you will receive an email for each entry containing your upload link. Your upload link will also be available at the bottom of your invoice once you have completed checkout. Please click on the link to access our upload page, you will then simply browse your computer files and attach the corresponding entry file. After you have completed your upload you will be able to view your file making sure your work has been properly received. (Our maximum upload size is 2GB). You have the option of sending your entry on DVD if your internet service functions too slowly for uploading large files.
6) What is the largest size file we can upload?
2 GB. Two gigabytes is the largest size our upload links support.
7) I'm having trouble using my upload link, is there another option for uploading my files via the internet?
Yes, if you are have problems using our upload links there is an emergency option, you may upload via FTP. Click Contact Us select Entry Upload/FTP and await instructions from our Entry Processing Department.
Note: You may also direct us to your FTP site (or other location) where we can download your files, as long as you provide us with the proper username and password to access this information.
8) How do I make sure that my entries were uploaded correctly?
Click Contact Us select Entry Upload/FTP and await assistance from our asset managers.
9) Can I put all of my entries on one CD or DVD?
Yes, however we request each entry be an individual file and located in its own folder located on your disc.
Each entry must have its own separate file named with that entries corresponding item ID number, item ID numbers are located on your invoice to the left of the title.

10) How many pieces may I submit as part of a campaign or series entry?
Please view the rules and regulations for campaign or series for the competition that you are entering. It's a limit of 3 pieces for a single medium series or campaign and a limit of 6 pieces for a Mixed Media campaign. For special circumstances please contact our Entry Processing Department. 11) If I do not include a synopsis will my entry be disqualified?
No, you do not need to submit a synopsis, but having one may help judges evaluate your work.
12) If I'm unsure of the correct category for my entry what do I do?
Please select the category "Other" and we will assign a category for you.
13) If you change my category for whatever reason, will I be notified?
No, we will not. We only change entry categories under two rare circumstances: if you submitted an entry in the "Other" category or if judges deem the entry is obviously in an inappropriate category.
14) Do you have a glossary of definitions for the meaning of each category?
Please contact our office or email the executive director of the competition in question if you are unsure of any category description.
15) May I have my entry returned after it has been judged?
Yes, we can return items under special circumstances. If you are submitting your only copy of a piece you may make special arrangements to have your entry returned upon judging completion provided that you have notified us in advance, with a written request, that you need the entry back. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
16) What is a brand URL?
A brand URL is a company website. Our URL is www.newyorkfestivals.com.
17) How do I get back to my cart information if the page is reset?
We ask that you log in to your account before submitting entries online. This assures that no information you've entered will be lost due to a disrupted internet connection, etc. If you do not log in before beginning the entry process you must contact us at +1.212.643.4800 to see if we can manually reconfigure your order.
18) How do I pay for my entry?
Preferred payment is by VISA, MasterCard or AMEX. Checks are no longer accepted. No refunds will be made once judging begins. For wire transfer payments, all bank charges must be prepaid and an additional $35 US dollars must be added to the total amount of the wire to cover intermediary bank fees. You must include our invoice number on your bank transfer.
19) Can I send entries today and my payment later?
Yes, you may send your entries now and submit payment within 5 working days. Your entries will not be processed until we receive final payment.
20) Where do I send my entries if I use a courier?
All competitions have the same address Your Awards Company 260 W. 39th St., 10th Floor, NY, NY 10018, USA.
If you have indicated that you are mailing your work ,you will be provided with labels to attach to your entries and package. The mailing labels will be found at the bottom of your invoice available at check out. If you have misplaced your labels please enclose a copy of your invoice so that we can properly identify your work.
21) Must my entries be post-marked by the deadline date?
No, although we prefer to have your entries before the deadline, you will not be disqualified if your entries arrive at our office shortly after the deadline.
22) Can I submit an entry even though the deadline has passed?
If you wish to submit an entry after the deadline, please fill out our online deadline extension request form or contact the executive director for that particular competition.
