The New York Festivals® Print competition honors the World's Best Work™ in print advertisements. As one of the oldest form of advertising across the globe, entrants in the Print competition are judged against years of industry standards and are expected to reach new levels of communicability and aesthetic poise. The print medium constantly poses new challenges to avoid cliché, communicate effectively, and engage the consumer—all in only two dimensions. No bells, whistles, or flashing lights, and perhaps it is this simplicity that cultivates such a regal oeuvre. From the glossy pages of fashion magazines to old-fashioned black and whites, this fierce competition boasts the following: 25 Product categories, 5 Public Service Announcement categories (i.e. Environmental Issues and Philanthropic Appeals), 6 Special categories (including Best Use of Medium), and for the first time a category for Gay/Lesbian advertising to mention a few. Please consult the entry kit for a complete list of categories.
