For 53 years the New York Festivals Radio Programming and Promotions Awards has recognized The World's Best Work in radio broadcasting.
Each year we receive entries from radio stations, networks and independent producers from over 30 countries. International radio experts from stations and companies donate their time to the judging process. The GrandJury™ is comprised of top level industry professionals from 5 continents and over 25 countries.
Each GrandJury™ member listens to and scores entries through our judging website. This process ensures each judge is assured a personal environment in which to listen to each entry. There is no distraction or undue influence from other GrandJury™ members. There is a flexible timeline to log on, listen thoughtfully and score each piece of work. The most common feedback from our judges is the unique experience of listening to programs, stories and news on a global level.
NYF maintains a network of representatives who promote the competitions in over 20 countries. These representatives are a crucial element in upholding NYF's dedication to searching out and rewarding The World's Best Work. Our international affiliates actively increase awareness of NYF and assist in filling the GrandJury™ with award-winning industry professionals. This ensures all work is judged without cultural bias and that each competition does represent the best in communications the world has to offer.
Winners and Finalists of the Radio Programming and Promotions Awards are promoted through press releases, educational resources, newsletters and associations worldwide.
