Order Tickets Now for the Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 24, 2010, at Manhattan Penthouse.
We are delighted to present a new trophy for the winners. It is designed to resemble a 1920s art deco radio microphone and undoubtably will be coveted by everyone. If we're allowed to say so ourselves, it's truly a beautiful work of art! This year's winners, as well as prior year's winners, will be available to purchase an additional radio microphone trophy using personalized credits.
For 53 years the New York Festivals® Radio Program and Promotion Awards has recognized The World's Best Work® in radio broadcasting.
Each year we receive entries from radio stations, networks and independent producers from over 30 countries. International radio experts from stations and companies donate their time to the judging process. The GrandJury® is comprised of top level industry professionals from 5 continents and over 25 countries.
This year, because so many of you asked for more time, we will be accepting entries until June 30th and judging is set to commence on July 15th.
Each GrandJury member listens to and scores entries through our judging website. This process ensures each judge is assured a personal environment in which to listen to each entry. There is no distraction or undue influence from other GrandJury members. There is a flexible timeline to log on, listen thoughtfully and score each piece of work. The most common feedback from our judges is the unique experience of listening to programs, stories and news online and on a global level and the fact that they are not unduly influenced by other jury members. They are only influenced by the work itself.
NYF® maintains a network of representatives who promote the competitions. These representatives are a crucial element in upholding NYF's dedication to searching out and rewarding The World's Best Work. Our international affiliates actively increase awareness of NYF and assist in filling the GrandJury with award-winning industry professionals. This ensures all work is judged without cultural bias and that each competition does represent the best in communications the world has to offer.
Winners and Finalists of the Radio Program and Promotions Awards are promoted through press releases, educational resources, newsletters and associations worldwide.
