2012 Marked the continuation of the strategic partnership for New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards with NAB Show.
This has been another banner year for New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. We are in the second year of a strategic partnership with NAB Show. Legendary Sports Executive Geoffrey Mason is our Lifetime Achievement recipient. The 2012 Grand Trophy winners will have a special screening in the Content Theater. This year's new and expanded categories honor today's trends in world-wide programming and encourage the next generation of story-tellers.
Today's digital world offers a wealth of excellent and innovative programming in all areas - news, sports, drama, promotions, image films and the arts. The work listed here is considered to be the World's Best Work™ created during the year 2011 as attested to by the more than 180 Producers, Directors, Writers, Creative Directors, Film Producers, Actors, Designers, Art Directors, Composers, Journalists, and Technical Directors who participated as judges on the 2012 Grand Jury. They are recognized for contributing some of the most captivating programs in the mediums of television and film.
The New York Festivals is the first and only international awards competition that uses a customized password-protected online platform in its judging process. This ensures that each entry receives the proper amount of time and attention, in an environment that is free from outside distractions and unsolicited opinions. Judges are able to view each entry in a relaxing and comfortable environment, at home or in the privacy of one's office, without pressure or influence from anyone else.
There is no one formula of how to make a great piece of television or film programming ...but every great program has a level of engagement, a resonance with the viewer, that was painstakingly created in the field, on the set, in the edit bay, in the mobile unit, in the sound mix, at the computer, and was a function of passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
