Randall Davidson is the Director of Radio Services at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Prior to joining UWO he spent eighteen years with Wisconsin Public Radio in Madison, where he was a news producer and the network's afternoon newscaster. He also was the network's chief announcer, training new announcers and filling in on music programs where needed, most often on Simply Folk, the network's weekly folk music program. In addition to his on air work, Davidson also served as the unofficial historian of WPR, answering listener questions about the early years and keeping track of historical artifacts and collections relating to the network's history. His book on the topic, "9XM Talking: WHA Radio and the Wisconsin Idea" was published by the University of Wisconsin Press in 2006. It was honored by the Wisconsin State Historical Society as the best book on Wisconsin history published that year. Davidson's broadcasting work has won awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, the Wisconsin Associated Press and the Northwest Broadcast News Association. In 2014, his work as a educator was recognized when he was named a recipient of UWO's Edward M. Penson Distinguished Teaching Award. Davidson began his radio career at UW Oshkosh's station WRST-FM. John Hinnen

John Hinnen retired from Rogers Broadcasting at the end of 2013. He is considered one of the leaders in Canada when it comes to news coverage on Radio and Televison.

As Vice-President of News for Television and Radio, John Hinnen was responsible for the strategic direction for all Rogers Media television and radio news brands nationally. Hinnen was the "architect" of 680News one of Canada's most successful radio stations, as well as news content for the 55 Rogers Radio stations, including the four all-news radio stations.

Under Hinnen’s leadership, the television and radio news brands operated under one vision but function as separate newsrooms.

With 42 years of experience in the news broadcast industry – 39 of which have been with Rogers Media – Hinnen is one of the most powerful and respected news executives in Canada.

When he retired Hinnen was VP of News programming for Rogers Broadcasting. Prior to this he was Vice-President and General Manager of 680News (2004 to 2012), Vice-President of News, Rogers Radio (1999 to 2012), and Executive Editor of 680News (1993 to 2012). In these roles, Hinnen led all newsgathering efforts for the Rogers Radio brands across Canada and oversaw the day-to-day on-air operations and marketing efforts.

Hinnen began at Rogers Media in 1974 as a sports announcer at CFTR, and went on to roles of increasing responsibility, including News and Sports Director at CFTR (1981 to 1987), and Vice-President of News at CHFI (1987 to 1993). He began his broadcasting career in 1972 at CKLB radio in Oshawa.

Under his leadership Rogers radio stations have won hundreds of awards including RTDNA Murrows, New York Radio Festival awards and many more. The Canadian Music Industry has named Hinnen's 680News Canada's News Talk Sports station of the year ten years in a row. Hinnen is also the recent recipient of the Radio-Television Digital News Association’s (RTDNA) President’s Award (2012), the association’s highest honour.

Hinnen devotes much of his time to numerous organizations and has been on the Board of Directors at many professional associations including: Ontario Association of Broadcasters – Vice President, Canadian Crime Stoppers Association, Amber Alert Steering Committee, Sports Media Canada, Seneca College Radio Advisory Board, and the Canadian Club of Toronto.

I started in radio October 1, 1982 and started at CHUM in Toronto October 12, 1985 as an on-air producer. By March of 1989 I was finally a commercial producer. I have been fortunate enough to win several major awards including a total of 14 from the New York Festivals(including 2 Gold and 2 Grand Awards), 2 IBA awards ( including 1 Gold) and a Gold Award from the Crystal Awards here in Canada. I have been the Production Manager for BELL Media (formerly CHUM) since July 2002 and am now managing a total of 7 stations. Hobbies include not getting haircuts, fishing when I can, exercising when my body will allow, using profanity frequently and playing guitar.
