John Hinnen retired from Rogers Broadcasting at the end of 2013. He is considered one of the leaders in Canada when it comes to news coverage on Radio and Televison.

As Vice-President of News for Television and Radio, John Hinnen was responsible for the strategic direction for all Rogers Media television and radio news brands nationally. Hinnen was the "architect" of 680News one of Canada's most successful radio stations, as well as news content for the 55 Rogers Radio stations, including the four all-news radio stations.

Under Hinnen’s leadership, the television and radio news brands operated under one vision but function as separate newsrooms.

With 42 years of experience in the news broadcast industry – 39 of which have been with Rogers Media – Hinnen is one of the most powerful and respected news executives in Canada.

When he retired Hinnen was VP of News programming for Rogers Broadcasting. Prior to this he was Vice-President and General Manager of 680News (2004 to 2012), Vice-President of News, Rogers Radio (1999 to 2012), and Executive Editor of 680News (1993 to 2012). In these roles, Hinnen led all newsgathering efforts for the Rogers Radio brands across Canada and oversaw the day-to-day on-air operations and marketing efforts.

Hinnen began at Rogers Media in 1974 as a sports announcer at CFTR, and went on to roles of increasing responsibility, including News and Sports Director at CFTR (1981 to 1987), and Vice-President of News at CHFI (1987 to 1993). He began his broadcasting career in 1972 at CKLB radio in Oshawa.

Under his leadership Rogers radio stations have won hundreds of awards including RTDNA Murrows, New York Radio Festival awards and many more. The Canadian Music Industry has named Hinnen's 680News Canada's News Talk Sports station of the year ten years in a row. Hinnen is also the recent recipient of the Radio-Television Digital News Association’s (RTDNA) President’s Award (2012), the association’s highest honour.

Hinnen devotes much of his time to numerous organizations and has been on the Board of Directors at many professional associations including: Ontario Association of Broadcasters – Vice President, Canadian Crime Stoppers Association, Amber Alert Steering Committee, Sports Media Canada, Seneca College Radio Advisory Board, and the Canadian Club of Toronto.

Liliana Manna is a journalist who graduated in 1972 from the School of Journalism of the city of Buenos Aires and 1974 from the Institute of Radio Education.

She was the first woman in Argentina radio to be named a writer-broadcaster in the News Service of Radio Belgrano and served as producer on various radio and television programs.

In 7 opportunities, Manna was awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies at the New York Festivals. The last occasion was in 2014 where she won the Gold for Best Documentary for “30 Years of Democracy: Everybody’s Story.” Also in 2014 she won the Ondas Award, awarded by the Cadena Ser Spain, for best documentary radio program in the world “Human Trafficking: Merchants of Innocence” which on December 3rd was delivered in a special audience with Pope Francisco.

Studies of drama, literature and history of arts in Berlin and Madrid, doctor’s degree at Free University/Berlin. Assistant producer at Schiller-Theatre, Berlin; freelance activities as producer of theatre and radio plays, as author and translator. Since 1970, Naleppa has produced and directed innumerable radio plays, initially for the Radio ‘RIAS Berlin’, later for Germany’s National Radio Deutschlandradio and for nearly every public broadcasting corporation in Germany. He is one of the best-known and most experienced directors of radio plays in Germany. His work includes literary radio plays, but also thrillers, plays for children, comedies and features. In the 80s he turned towards musical and experimental radio forms and Sound Art. Teaching assignments at the Technical University and Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin; workshops and direction work in Mexico.
From 1994 to 1996 head of the radio play department of Deutschlandradio.

His work in both entertainment and documentary radio has seen him win Sony Radio Awards, New York Radio Awards, Gillards, two nominations for the Radio Academy’s Producer of the Year and, in each of the last three years, he been named as one of the Radio Academy’s 30 under 30.

Megan Williams is a Canadian foreign correspondent and radio producer based in Rome, Italy where she reports for CBC and other broadcasters. She has spent years covering the migrant crisis in Europe, as well as Italian politics, culture and art and the Vatican. She has won numerous international awards for her radio reports and documentaries from around the world, including three golds and a silver in the New York Festivals. Megan is author of the story collection Saving Rome.

Andrew started his career in the television industry working in some of the world's most dangerous locations as a news sound recordist and journalist, coming under fire during the Siege of Sarajevo in 1992. He spent 10 years as a music and speech broadcaster and producer for the Radio and Television industry, including a fascinating period living and working in the Falkland Islands supporting the armed forces community stationed there, before launching his own media company in 1997.
 
Andrew’s 27-year career in the media and communications industry has brought him into contact with 10s of thousands of people in an eclectic range of multinational and multicultural environments. His experiences have ranged from managing hostile media interviews in conflict zones, negotiating complex media rights contracts, running live news broadcasts as a producer and journalist, to reshaping the brand image of radio networks.

Her 3 part documentary series ‘Memories of Sarajevo ‘ has won, in addition to her Bronze award from N.Y B. R. Festivals , a Community Broadcasting Association award of Australia for best spoken word documentary, and an Honourable Mention from the International Association of Women in Radio and Television .The series has also been collected by the National Sound Archive of Australia .

She is currently designing an immersive , audio and video installation for the Immigration Museum of Australia using further material collected for the making of the series.

She worked at Bloomberg Multimedia as a digital video and television producer as well as a radio reporter for 15 years and is the recipient of numerous awards including the Edward R.
