• About New York festivals

    The New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards recognize "The World's Best Work" in news, documentary, information and entertainment programming as well as in music videos, infomercials, promotion spots, openings and ID's. Now entering its 53rd year, the total number of entries continues to grow, now representing over 30 different countries, making the NYF Television & Film Awards one of the most well known and widely respected competitions on the globe.

    To encourage the next generation of storytellers, NY Festivals now has nine categories for student-generated programming on all platforms.

     
  • 2010 Jury Members

    The NYF Television & Film Awards are judged by award winning Directors, Producers, Writers, Composers, Actors and various other creative media professionals and critics from across the globe. All entries are judged on-line by panels of industry experts from around the world, whose companies include Turner Entertainment, ESPN, The Edge Company Ltd, DBB, Colman Rasic Carrasco, IMCMM, ST16 Ltd, NASA/Honeywell, Metamorphosis, Jacaranda, Con Edison, MSG/Varsity, BET, FITCHLive, Bloomberg, Grey, Draftfcb, Witness, Norvell Jefferson, WETA, National Geographic, and Yahoo!   • United Nations Department of Public Information Award

    In collaboration with the United Nations Department of Public Information, New York Festivals established the UNDPI Awards in 1990 to honor television programming that best exemplifies the aims and ideals of the United Nations. Global concerns of particular interests to the United Nations include peace and security; advancement of women; social development; health issues including HIV/AIDS; human rights; crime and violence; literacy; sustainable development; and the fight against poverty.
